Our accountancy practice

Started in 1984 when our Chairman David Ross left the Inland Revenue. We represent Plumbers, through Chiropractors, to Pop Stars - and everyone is treated the same.

The deal is;

• You pay an agreed monthly fee according to the complexity of work - no extras. You KNOW what you are in for when you sign up with us, come what may;
• Yes, this DOES mean you pay nothing more if the Tax Inspector investigates you;
• Fees are indexed to inflation, not our greed;
• We profit from being efficient, so we adopt New Technology at every opportunity and it is in our interests to help you get your book-keeping right.

Our software business

Began in 1997 with the invention of Self Assessment. There was a need for software which produced Self Assessment Returns on the Macintosh – hence the creation of FairBalance Taxes.

Now 90% of our customers use Windows, and we have added FairBalance Payroll for PAYE to our portfolio.

In due course we expect to launch a product for property owners and letting agents

Our Publishing businesses

Grew out of our experience in the accountancy practice. Having learned the most efficient ways to use spreadsheets to turn data into information, it is a natural next step to publish these techniques
